Frequently Asked Questions
Are the accredited courses really “nationally accredited” training?
Absolutely. Prime Skills Pty Ltd are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) approved and audited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) (Provider Number 21317).
All of the accredited courses include training and assessment materials that have been developed by Prime Skills, against a national Unit of Competency.
All Trainees that are deemed competent, will be issued with a “Statement of Attainment” that indicates the Unit of Competency that the Trainee has been deemed competent in.
These are the same nationally recognised “Statement of Attainment” that you can receive from a local TAFE College or other tertiary training provider.
How can I confirm that the accredited courses really “nationally accredited”?
If you would like to double check the courses we deliver are accredited, then you can verify our registration and scope of the accredited courses that Prime Skills Pty Ltd can deliver at www.training.gov.au.
What if I just want to update my qualification?
No problem. Just contact us and we will send you the updated assessment pack, however we will require you to send us a copy of you previous “Statement of Attainment” when you return the assessment.
When you contact us please state that you want to do the Qualification Update and the competency it is for. The updated assessments can only be completed for the Unit of Competency that Prime Skills Pty Ltd are registered to deliver on this website.

Why is the Food Safety Supervisor Course more expensive in New South Wales, than in other Australian states?
In New South Wales, the Trainee that completes the Food Safety Supervisor for NSW is issued with two certificates. They are:
- The “Statement of Attainment” for the Unit of Competency issued by Prime Skills Pty Ltd (this is the same certificate that Trainees in other states receive); as well as;
- The NSW Food Authority Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (A green and white certificate issued by the NSW Food Authority. Prime Skills Pty Ltd is registered with the NSW Food Authority to deliver and assess this course, however for every NSW Food Authority Food Safety Supervisor Certificate that we issue, we must collect and then pay a fee a fee to the NSW Food Authority. We must also pay an additional fee as an RTO to be approved by the NSW Food Authority.
If you are based in NSW but do not need the green NSW Food Authority Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (but still want the Unit of Competency) then do not select the NSWFA option.
Alternatively, if you are based in other Australian states, but would like the additional NSW Food Authority Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, then simply select the NSWFA option and you will be charged the extra fee.
